On Friday, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) officially announced the results for the Class 12 Board exam. The news was shared via the Board’s Twitter handle, and the results have been made available on the official websites – cbseresults.nic.in and cbse.gov.in. Throughout the week, there was a growing anticipation surrounding the results, fueled by a fake circular falsely claiming that the results would be declared on May 11. CBSE promptly dismissed this misinformation, clarifying that they never disclose result dates in advance.

This year, the pass percentage stands at 87.33 percent, surpassing the pre- Covid pass percentage of 83.40 percent recorded in 2019, as stated by CBSE. In an effort to discourage unhealthy competition, the Board has decided not to assign first, second, or third divisions to students. However, CBSE will grant merit certificates to the top 0.1 percent of students who have achieved the highest marks in their respective subjects.
